Position
Salon Designer
Summary
This position will specialize in cut, color, texture, style, design, and scalp massage treatment. Will also provide consultation on style and product options. Designers will be expected to utilize vision and expertise to best serve the needs of the client. We expect the designer to act as image co-creator with client.
Experience/Educational Qualifications
- Licensed Cosmetologist
- Experience in hair care design preferred. New talent will be considered, as well.
- Awareness and appreciation for holistic philosophy.
- Strong commitment to being a contributing member of an artistic team.
- Excellent attitude with a focus on customer service.
- Motivation and interest in expanding knowledge of all aspects of hair care design.
Position
Salon Coordinator
Summary
This position reports directly to the Salon Proprietor and has primary responsibility for organizing Salon operations to include managing the front desk and retail area. Additional duties include scheduling, professional phone communication, client care/hospitality, and light housekeeping.
Experience/Educational Qualifications
- One to three years experience in a customer service role in the service industry.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, internet, and data entry applications.
- Excellent phone skills and interpersonal communication required.
- Background of experience and interest in retail sales.
- High school diploma required and some college coursework preferred.
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor required.
- Knowledge of English language in order to understand and transmit information orally or in writing which can normally be obtained through completion of high school.
